So tonight my eyes stumbled upon Adobe Photoshop icon on my desktop - which I rarely use this semester. Then again, I decided to do another carricature with my oh-so-late laptop .____.  It is supposed to be me with my usual right-side braid. Unless I have nasal bone here. And much whiter. Yay.

Setelah malam panjang yang dilalui akibat menginap di lab untuk penelitian kecil (saya) dan koreksi scanning tumpukan soal UN di Dinas Pendidikan (dia), saya dan Acuy sepakat untuk menekan stress dan jalan-jalan ke tempat makan remang-remang di pusat gaul kota Bandung. Dia sahabat 6 tahun merangkap adik beda 1 hari saya yang berbagi peta jalan pikiran sama saya. Sepertinya semua orang selalu ingin punya sahabat yang senantiasa bilang, “kalau kamu lagi suntuk sih telepon aku aja aku siap diapain aja dan nemenin kamu jalan-jalan kemana aja” dan tidak terkejut saat kita datang dengan berita besar karena dia tahu suatu hari kamu pasti datang dengan berita besar itu :)

ilovecharts: jtotheizzoe: Using last.fm Data to Map Geographic Flow of Music By tapping into the last.fm API, these Irish researchers modeled the geographic flow of musical influence. They were able to identify where certain tastes frequently originated, and draw a hierarchy of influential cities (like the chart shown above for North America). Surprisingly, the size of a city doesn’t associate very strongly with how influential it is. That means that despite its enormous size, NYC isn’t that much more influential than Portland or Austin. There are prevailing theories that large cities are the drivers of cultural invention, but this seems to show (for music, at least) that a connected online world is leveling that playing field. Also, they have a graph displaying “Normalized Radiohead vs. Normalized Coldplay”, which has to go down as one of the best figures in a research paper, ever.  (via arXiv) Very cool paper.

Gadis Tukang Merajuk

Kemarin, di lorong Instruksional Barat, saya sama Cacing lagi belajar saat Daryl minta bocoran dosen pembimbing ke Pak Indra. Dan Pak Wardono pun lewat juga.

Langsung saya serbu, “Pak, tadi rapat KK ya Pak? Aku masuk KK apalah? Dosen pembimbing aku siapa lah?”. Bapaknya pun menjawab, “Wah, saya nggak tau Riz. Liat nanti aja ya, minggu depan lah. Tapi kemudian, saya masih keukeuh, “Ah atuh Pak, kasih tau ih!” yang dijawab bapaknya dengan “tunggu aja pengumumannya deh, penasaran amat. Saya masih tetep merajuk, “Ih atuh Pak sok kalau gak dikasih tau aku pundung nih mau bolos ngasistenin nih sekarang.”

Tapi akhirnya dikasih tau juga sih.

Turns out, akhirnya dapat KK yang paling diinginkan dan dengan dosen pembimbing yang juga dimau.

Baru lihat foto kulapEtnobotani ke Kampung Naga dan Kampung Pulo. Kemudian stumbled upon foto ini yang merupakan foto angkatan 2009 yang turut serta. Turns out aing satu-satunya gadis yang tidak berkerudung dan malah memakai celana jins sobek-sobek yang kemudian ditertawakan oleh dosennya. Mungkin sebenarnya saya koloni mutan di tengah kultur kebaikan -_-
